OMG! Recently, I had a short but very poignant visit with a friend. Lately, I’ve been very aware that people have been fading out of my life. Sure, this is rather typical for all of us; however, for me, right now, it seems more obvious, more acute, than ever. When I mentioned to my friend that I really did not think that certain people would suddenly be out of my life, she happily said, “Oh Sheri, God is weeding your garden.” Isn’t that a beautiful way to put it? Those who have faded away were meant to fade away. It’s just by the universe’s design. They were only here for a certain time period so that I could learn certain things from them. And, once the learning was no longer needed; my garden was weeded. Is your garden being weeded by the universe too? Can you see it? If so, it’s meant to be. Go for Positive!

Only you really know when you need that break. When you honor the need to unplug from a particular routine thing that you do, you are being true to your inner guide that is screaming for a pause. Everyone needs a break to regroup. Take that break. Recharge, rethink, and proceed again when ready. Or, maybe you don’t  proceed with that thing at all. You decide. Only you know what you need. Honor thyself! Go for Positive!

Ever been determinded to find joy even during challenging times? I have. And, it ain’t so easy  but it feels way better than focusing all of your precious energy on the crappy parts of any difficult situation. So, I say go for joy. Dig it out. Yes, sometimes it takes quite a task to dig it out but you CAN find it. Taste it. Focus on it.  And, don’t let it go. Dig for joy, Baby! Go for Positive!

There are days when just about everything on your list is falling to the wayside. You might feel that you are not being productive since there aren’t enough things checked off your  to-do list for the day. Have you tried having a weekly list? Yes, some things need to be done on a certain day, but does everything? Consider freeing yourself to get some things done during a certain week, or month, or quarter, etc. No, you’re not being lazy, you’re being productive in a new way. One that just might loosen your shoulders and feel freeing as you still accomplish what you set out to. Try it. Go for Positive!

Do you notice when little messages are strewn for you to pick up and decipher?  Today was a day where I linked a message from yesterday with one from today which made me really ”hear” the message. Here goes… Yesterday, I was so drawn to purchase a beautiful bracelet made of clear crystals, jade, silver pieces, blue stones, and a dangling pendant that reads, “Trust in your dreams,” on one side and, “Be free” on the other side. It was as if my hand couldn’t reach for any other bracelet offered except that one. Had to have it. Bought it.  Then today, mom and I were wandering around the local swap meet and I was attracted to a table where sat a music box that played a delicate tune that I didn’t recognize. I just knew that I had to have it without totally knowing why. It just felt special and significant. So, I complied with my instincts and took it home. When I got home, I immediately unwrapped it and wound it up to play its tune when mom said, “Hey, it’s playing “Dream the Impossible Dream.” Now, lately I’ve been having these really cool dreams about my future and in some ways they seem real, yet maybe a bit stretched, yet very, very exciting. And, I SO believe that the universe is totally wanting me to know that it’s working its magic to make those “impossible” DREAMS come true! I’m a TOTAL believer. Woo hoo! What messages is the universe sending you? Go for Positive!

When’s the last time you were spontaneous? How did it turn out? Hopefully, you found value in taking quick action. I’m making the effort to add spice into my routine by taking last minute invitations to do this or that or to abruptly stop what I’m doing and get out and about to do something UNplanned that’s fun. Whether it’s a quick trip to the local thrift shop just because, or it’s an unexpected road trip, it’s a treat to just do it!  Get out there and exercise your spontaneous muscles. Even just a slight deviation from what’s typical for you can add just the special treat in life that you need. Go for Positive!

In life it seems that the most growth comes from discomfort. Whether it’s standing in front of a group of people saying an impromptu speech or it’s experiencing a hellish time in a relationship, the discomfort is part of the process which ultimately makes us learn, grow, and move forward and upward to a better place in life. Whatever you might be going through right now is exactly where you need to be. And, it’s all in design to make an even better you. Go for Positive!

I often am still in awe of how we really affect one another just by how we show up in a room. Ever notice how comforting it is to be near someone who emits gentle, kind energy? Don’t you just want to stay near them to bask in the great effects that their energy has on you?  Then there’s those whose energy is hyper and jittery and just being near them makes you feel jittery too.  And, of course, there’s those who are feeling down and their demeanor and energy totally reflect how they’re feeling which can easily have a downer effect on you too.

Given how impactful each of us is on one another, it has been suggested that when we feel less than our best, (before entering a room), take a quick moment to breathe deeply to recalibrate ourselves, think of something wonderful that puts a smile on our face, imagine a postive outcome of our meeting with those who are in the room we are about to enter, and walk thru that door with a better energetic field. Woo hoo! Go for Positive!

Don’t you just hate when shit happens? Me too! I find that it helps to (a) search for at least a kernal of something positive in every (negative) situation/experience; and then (b) shift the focus to that positive aspect so that it’s easier to move forward feeling empowered. Challenge yourself to reframe the situation by finding the “plus in the minus,” so to speak, as FAST as possible! Yes, go ahead find the “plus” as quickly as possible the next time you’re faced with an obstacle. Reframe it, Baby! Go for Positive!

Could you use some relief from challenges in life? I was recently reminded that when feeling down, find a thought that gives you even the slightest feeling of relief. From that slight relief feeling, find another thought that now gives you slight relief from that new feeling. Keep moving for slight relief from each level of where you are in your challenged spot. Keep moving UP in feeling relief. Yes, it’s a process. So be easy on yourself if it takes a bit of time to move from your lower relief spot to a higher level of relief. You’re getting there! Go for Positive!

So, what brings you joy? What lifts the corners of your mouth into a joyous smile? Oh the feeling of experiencing joyous moments. So, think about what you can do today to bring joy into your Monday, and then do it, do it, do it! Go for Positive!

When you feel that you have been wronged, the only true way to move forward is to forgive. It’s always a good idea to not only forgive the person who wronged you, but forgive yourself too. You cover the bases this way and you are now gifting yourself a sense of relief and peace. Remove that weight from your shoulders. Forgive. Go for Positive!

Open your mind and find the gift that is within each challenge you face. Once you find that gift, not only have you now grown and learned a new lesson; but you will not have to repeat that exact same lesson again! Go for Positive!

Could you use a pick-me-up? Give nature a try. While out in nature, deeply inhale positive, happy thoughts & exhale anything you view as negative in your life. Inhale good. Exhale bad. Connecting with nature is connecting with your inner-most soul self. Go for Positive!

Don’t you love when someone shares a story or message with you that not only resonates; but you draw on it when needed? I rarely commit many sayings to memory; however, this particular one is holding real estate in my memory bank, and I believe you might get some benefit from it too. That is, “What you focus on expands.”  Go for Positive!

Isn’t it the best when you push the envelope and that push yields precisely what you had intended? Score!  On the flip side, however, when that push of the envelope doesn’t quite yield what you had hoped, it’s because it’s just not time for the desired outcome to happen yet. Keep at it though because the universe is still working its magic; it’s just gonna present that desired outcome a bit farther down the road. Sweet! Go for Positive!

So, I have surrended and am sitting still, remaining quiet, and I am letting myself just BE. For I know that quiet and immersing myself in serene, nurturing environments is precisely what I need. As I sat down to write this blog entry, I needed guidance. So, I reached for my book, Affirmations with Attitude! Sassy Power Starters to Ignite Your Day. I opened it to a random page. The message I landed on was, “I am all about having integrity with everything I do and say.” Hmm, I didn’t necessarily think this was the ideal affirmation message I should share now. So, I closed the book and re-opened it again to select a new message. Well, lo and behold, I opened to the exact page with the exact message. Guess, that showed me that YES, this is the precise message to share with you at this time! Love signs like that. Go for Positive!

Grant yourself permission to slow down and get some relaxation time in. Go for Positive!

OK, you are running around getting something done, and although you are HERE now, sort of, your mind races to the next 14 things you still have to do. In the end, all is a whirlwind, night has fallen, and everything’s a blur. How about you make the conscious effort to be in the HERE and NOW with each thing that you do? This week, for starters, give yourself the gift of being present. Take in each thing and experience it as it is happening. Tune out the rest of the list until it’s that thing’s turn. BEing in the NOW is good. Go for Positive!

OK, I’ve been turning the other cheek. Like that works for long.
