Got problem? Always put your energy on the solution, not the problem. Once you shift your attention to the solution, the universe moves with you to find it. Go for Positive!

As I sat down to write this blog entry, I needed guidance. So, I reached for my book, Affirmations with Attitude! Sassy Power Starters to Ignite Your Day. I opened it to a random page. The message I landed on was, “I am all about having integrity with everything I do and say.” Hmm, I didn’t necessarily think this was the ideal affirmation message I should share now. So, I closed the book and re-opened it again to select a new message. Well, lo and behold, I opened to the exact page with the exact message. Guess, that showed me that YES, this is the precise message to share with you at this time! Love signs like that. Go for Positive!

How do you work through your internal obstacles to success? Steven Pressfield, author of The War of Art, calls those self-imposed obstacles RESISTANCE. And he tells us that yes we can work through resistance. The author has a very blunt line (and loads of bluntness throughout the book) that comes to mind which helps me remember to push through resistance, “Resistance is always lying and always full of shit.” ALRIGHTY THEN! Works for me. Maybe it can push you through too. Go for Positive!
And, today is MLK day. Martin Luther King, Jr., what a beautiful American treasure so worthy of celebration! Let us remember and celebrate in his honor.

OK, I’ve gotta share a bit of a love story with you. Mine. Today is January 10. It is one of my favorite dates because on this day, 21 years ago, I married my LOVE! Woo hoo! We had an unconventional Wednesday evening church wedding with (I think)100% attendance. (Yep, our guests got to go to work; then witness our wedding & join us for dinner and cake afterwards–not a shabby way to spend a Wednesday evening). Earlier in the day, I watched General Hospital; then afterwards I remember thinking I should probably get my wedding dress on since the limo was coming for me a bit later. The day was easy, breezy, hassle free and different. I did not feel nervous at all, just happy and peaceful. My dress, you ask? Get this, my wedding dress was short, with a train trailing me. I thought I was brilliant with wanting the seamstress to make this design for me since I had never seen anyone else wear such a dress. (And, later I whipped that train off so I could get my groove-on dancing). During the mass portion at our ceremony, we sat in chairs up on the altar, facing our guests (never saw any other couples do this either) and we watched as some guests arrived late (traffic and work delays for some). That was fun as we shot smiles & nods & the occassional wave to acknowledge the guests and late comers as the mass portion played out. By the time we did our grand exit down the aisle, the church was full! Ha ha ha, so fun! I took it all in like a camera. Didn’t want to miss a thing…. Anyway, it’s been a beautiful, yummy, full, fast 21 years… Thank you very much! I’ll have some more, please. Love is truly freeing. Thankfully, that’s been my experience. Love, love, love it! Go for Positive!
